With the PerfectPitch, Aber Instruments directly addresses the needs of smaller breweries and craft brewers. Particularly when using multiple vessels and different yeast strains, yeast management is a big challenge.

The mobile skid can be employed anywhere in the brewery and be connected to different hoses of flexible lines of storage and fermentation vessels. The integrated Varivent housing accommodates the COMPACT ADAPT probe of the Yeast Monitor, which measures the life cell concentration in real-time during the pitching. At the same time, an Endress+Hauser magflow determines the flow rate.

Both values are collected in the integrated control unit, which calculates the total amount of pitched yeast. The instrument can store up to 50 recipes for different pitching volumes and target cell concentrations. An optical signal indicates when the required amount of yeast is pitched and you can stop the process.

This way, you can achieve sustainable and defined pitching concentrations for a more steadier fermentation process and controllable beer quality.
