On Sunday, it happened again: The I&L sales team was on the road from Königswinter to Munich. Monday Morning started with a „shocking moment“: The stand builder did a perfect job and all our instruments arrived safely and seemed to have enough place on our booth!
What did we present? Of course our „old hit“, the popular Cell Culture Analyzer FLEX2 of Nova biomedical, but in combination with a new connection: The cell culture sample flows from my-Control controlled applikon-bioreactor with Foam Fighter (ReseaTech GmbH) through the sampling system Seg-Flow (Flownamics) directly to the analysis with the FLEX2 – 24/7. And if this was not enough of automation, Jan van Hauwermeiren of Ovizio Imaging Systems explained to our customers how cell culturing can be easier organised with the iLine F. It extracts continuously cell suspension of the bioreactor and measures (amongst others) viability and cell number – „Star Wars“-like without staining using digital holographic microscopy.
Friends of cell research liked our new products: The SPRm 200 of Biosensing Instruments measures kinetics and affinities down to small molecules directly on living cells using SPR-based microscopy. Customers, knowing the crux of normal SPR systems regarding artificial surfaces, were excited. Also, the Cyto-Mine (Sphere Fluidics) as a real all-rounder was surprising: Single cell analysis, -sorting, -imaging and -dispension compactly combined in only one instrument! Fascinated by our revolutionary Cell Control System Avatar (Xcell Biosciences), customers were wondering how the avatar creates physiological environments for the challenging culturing of primary cells thereby providing new possibilities for cell culturing.
Also, the VaxArray (InDevR Inc.) with its fast analysis time went „viral“ – especially after this year’s Influenza season it has been a real public magnet – the same was with our bestseller SoloVPE of C-Technologies which is the simplification of UV/VIS-Spectroscopy. Our customers were surprised that we were able to measure egg proteins without dilution. Have you missed this event and want to know how much protein chicken egg white contains? Just contact us! We will demonstrate it to you, also with your own samples.
Our Microbiology corner was highly frequented as well: Beside our 3M hits, ready-to-use Culture Media Plates (3M-Petrifilm Plates), Hygienic rapid tests (3M-Cleantrace), and the rapid microbiological testing system Biolumix (Neogen Europe Ltd.), the Sphereflash of IUL Instruments S.A. was our real hero: It is an automated colony counter or Hemmhof analyser, which inspired our customers to analyse their own difficult to measure plates the next day at our booth! Let’s say: mission accomplished successfully!
But there has been an absolute product highlight at our booth: the Bio X Bioprinter of Cellink AB. It is not only able to perform 3D Bio Printing like scaffolds (their incubation could be perfectly understood in our TisXell of Quinxell Technologies Pte Ltd) but also to integrate living cells into the matrix. Our specialists Dr. David Walrafen and Dr. Karin Schneider were permanently demonstrating and explaining… Needless to say, in case of long waiting times all our customers could enjoy fresh and healthy Smoothies as well as Nougat, Fudges and liquorice. Well, do you need a 3D object in your lab, too? We are pleased to visit you – in 3D.
And in two years at Analytica 2020, we will again present a lot of great innovations in our best mood!
