Cell culture clarification with minimum effort

The kytero® 10 is a compact, single-use disk stack centrifuge designed as a user-friendly benchtop device for efficient and gentle cell harvesting of small bioreactors (1-10L). This cell harvest centrifuge efficiently separates desired compounds from mammalian cell cultures, and bacterial and yeast cell fermentations. It is the ideal cell culture clarification device for biotech labs, R&D centres, and small-scale production facilities in biopharma as well as the new food sector (alternative proteins).

The disk stack separation technology ensures highly viable cell harvesting and maximum yield. Additionally, separation processes can be easily tested and scaled up to large production lines using the same industry-standard separation technology (e.g. continuous working disc-type centrifuges).

  • Maximum yield – harvest with high cell viability and yield.
  • High safety against contamination – the non-contact drive system breezeDrive® and gamma-radiated Single-Use sets ensure safe operation under high biocontainment requirements.
  • Ready for the next run in minutes – No cleaning in place (CIP) or sterilisation in place (SIP) needed and no special training required due to single-use technology.
  • Enables continuous operation over the perfusion period due to its gentle design, allowing separating of cells at highest viability
  • Compact design – The table top unit fits easily on a bench or in any cleanroom.
  • Seamless upscaling – Transfer from R&D to production without effort, using the same disk stack technology for high throughput.
