Scale your 3D cell culture with the RASTRUM Allegro
The RASTRUM Allegro empowers you to optimise therapeutic strategies and accelerate your path to discovery by streamlining the creation of 3D cell models. You can produce your own 3D cell models in minutes using its drop-on-demand technology and innovative, precision robotics. RASTRUM Allegro delivers the reproducibility you need to generate 3D cell models at scale, supporting screening campaigns and enabling meaningful insights and confident decision-making.
The RASTRUM Allegro supports high-throughput screening by creating a full 3D cell model:
- In 6 minutes for a 96-well plate
- In 9 minutes for a 384-well plate
- In over 35 plates every working day
The platform will:
- Deliver highly consistent results by minimising variability.
- Maximise the generation of higher quantities of 3D cell models from every unique sample.
- Produce 3.5x more models from just a few thousand cells.
- Make the most of your resources and advance your research efficiently.
RASTRUM Allegro allows researchers to recreate complex tumor and tissue microenvironments and study the dynamic interactions between key tumor cell types, such as cancer, stromal and vascular cells. This advances our understanding of disease mechanisms and therapeutic development. You can create more 3D cell models from each sample, including your most precious patient biopsies.
Preserving 3D integrity – RASTRUM’s inert base layer, which coats the bottom of the well, prevents cells from migrating towards plastic surfaces, where they attach and lose their 3D characteristics. This innovation preserves the integrity of the 3D microenvironment, preventing the formation of 2D monolayers and enabling experiments that are more physiologically relevant. RASTRUM Allegro delivers the reproducibility you need to generate 3D cell models on a large scale, supporting screening campaigns and enabling meaningful insights and confident decision-making.
The RASTRUM platform workflow
The platform enables deep investigation into biologically relevant conditions through engineered 3D architectures. Simply point, click, and experiment using the cloud-based guided experimental design, ready-to-use protocols, and expert assistance. Develop your 3D model from start to finish in 5 steps:
- First, select your matrix from a large library of different matrices to mimic your individual tissue microenvironment.
- Second, select your model architecture by choosing the structure and cell model that best meet experimental needs.
- The third step is to follow a simple protocol to prepare your cells.
- In the fourth step, you generate your 3D cell model using RASTRUM’s drop-on-demand bioprinting technology.
- The fifth and final step is to grow your cell model and integrate your analysis with existing downstream workflows and readouts.
Different cell model architectures allow you to cover a range of applications, including imaging, screening and cell extraction. These flexible architectures can be seamlessly integrated into various well plate formats, trans-well inserts or cover slips.
