The Neogen® Petrifilm® Lactic Acid Bacteria Count (LAB) Plate is a self-contained, sample-ready culture medium system containing nutrients, selective agents, a cold-water-soluble gelling agent, and a tetrazolium indicator to facilitate colony enumeration. The Petrifilm LAB Plate includes oxygen-scavenging compounds that create an anaerobic environment to recover both homofermentative and heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria within the food and beverage industries.
