Sample collection is straightforward with the Neogen® Swab-Sampler. The vial provides ample headspace for sample addition and vortexing to release organisms from the swab. This sampling device is also decontaminated via gamma irradiation to ensure a long shelf life. The Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) methodology is the world’s most widely recognised food safety management protocol.
Sample collection products from Neogen® play a vital role in this approach, helping to identify potential foodborne hazards and determine their source. Portability, stable enrichment media, and easy-to-handle swabs and sponges are designed to test for possible risks and deliver highly accurate results. They are engineered to collect, contain safely, and transport contents from the sampling site to the laboratory without leaking or compromising the sample’s integrity.
D/E Neutralising Broth, developed by Dey and Engley, is used in disinfectant testing where neutralisation of antiseptics and disinfectants is essential for assessing bactericidal activity. It effectively neutralizes a broad spectrum of disinfectants and antimicrobial preservatives, including ammonium compounds, phenolics, iodine, chlorine-based preparations, mercurials, formaldehyde, and glutaraldehyde. D/E Neutralising media neutralises higher concentrations of residual antimicrobials than other standard neutralising formulations such as Letheen, Thioglycollate, and Neutralising Buffer.
