Automated Filtration with Maximum Efficiency and Control
The SciLog® FilterTec™ is an advanced, laboratory-scale normal flow filtration (NFF) system designed to automate and optimise a wide range of filtration processes. Whether used for buffer and media filtration, bioreactor harvest, sterile filtration, or chromatography column loading, the FilterTec™ ensures consistent results while significantly reducing manual workload. Its walk-away operation allows users to focus on other tasks without compromising process safety or performance.
At the core of the system is the patented R/P Stat Method, which intelligently switches between constant flow and constant pressure modes based on real-time sensor feedback. This approach allows the system to maintain optimal throughput while protecting the filter from excessive pressure build-up, resulting in up to 30% increased filter capacity compared to conventional methods.
The FilterTec™ offers comprehensive process monitoring with up to 15 real-time parameters when used with SciDoc™ software. Integrated pressure sensors and optional electronic balances enable precise control over filtrate weight, pressure differentials, and flow rates—making the system an ideal tool for both routine filtration and in-depth filterability studies, including Vmax determination.
For applications that demand greater throughput or filter comparison, the FilterTec™ Plus expands functionality with support for three simultaneous filtration channels. This configuration allows for parallel processing with identical or different filter types, enabling scale-up studies and statistical verification with ease.
With its flexible configuration options and compatibility with most filter types and lab equipment, the SciLog® FilterTec™ delivers a reliable and scalable solution for advanced filtration process development.
