Complete Tangential Flow Filtration System for Lab-Scale Optimisation

The SciLog® PureTec® is an all-in-one tangential flow filtration (TFF) system designed for laboratory-scale concentration and diafiltration applications. Delivered as a complete package—including pressure sensors, balance, mixing vessel with stirrer, tubing, and fittings—PureTec® enables immediate start-up and efficient process development. Its compact footprint and user-friendly interface make it ideal for research laboratories and small-scale bioprocessing environments.

With automated pressure and flow control, the PureTec® system supports both constant pressure and constant rate operating modes. These modes allow users to fine-tune process parameters and maximise permeate yield without interrupting the run. For concentration steps, the system helps identify the optimal pump rate or transmembrane pressure (TMP) through stepwise adjustments and real-time permeate monitoring. For diafiltration, PureTec® facilitates buffer exchange either via suction for small volumes or in combination with the SciLog® ChemTec® system for larger-scale operations.

The system includes programmable end points and built-in alarms, enabling safe, walk-away operation. When connected to SciDoc™ software or a printer, PureTec® offers real-time documentation of up to 17 filtration parameters—such as TMP, NWP, concentration factor, and permeate flow rate—making it easy to monitor, evaluate and optimise each step of the process.

Engineered for scalability, the PureTec® supports seamless parameter transfer to pilot or production-scale systems, reducing development time and risk during scale-up. Whether you’re refining a TFF protocol or validating a new product, the SciLog® PureTec® offers precise, reproducible results in a flexible and intuitive platform.
